Season 2025 Recap
Reflecting on an Incredible 2025 Season — #20JahreStahl
As the 2025 season comes to a close, it’s time to take a moment to look back and reflect on what has been a milestone year for us at FaSTTUBe.
Under the banner of #20JahreStahl — celebrating 20 years of innovation, dedication, and passion — we stayed true to our roots by once again choosing our iconic steel tube frame chassis. This year, we brought all our experience, knowledge, and determination together to create the FT25, our most advanced and refined electric race car to date.
We kicked off the event season with a strong showing, taking 1st place in the Cost Report—a clear sign that our planning efforts paid off. However, a DQ in the Endurance event meant we narrowly missed an overall podium finish. But setbacks are just opportunities to improve. We regrouped and came back even stronger.

At Formula Student Austria, we battled one of the toughest competition fields in recent years and proudly secured a Top 10 finish. Our team spirit, persistence, and focus were evident in every aspect of our performance.
In Czech Republic, we continued the momentum, placing 8th in Autocross, showcasing both our car’s performance and the skills of our drivers and engineers.
And then came FSG (Formula Student Germany)—a highlight of the season and a turning point. After years of trying, we finally broke the “endurance curse” and finished the Endurance event—a huge milestone not only for this season but for our team’s EV history. The FT25 became the first-ever FaSTTUBe electric car to finish the endurance event, earning its place in our legacy. Let’s just say, the pool jump was very much deserved!
With a competition weight of just 181 kg, the FT25 is officially the lightest EV car we’ve ever built. Its unique combination of a rear-wheel chain drive and a steel tube frame sets it apart from many of its peers and proves that innovation doesn’t always mean following the crowd. Our commitment to reliability and continuous improvement kept us running at the front of the field and solidly within the Top 10 at the most competitive events in Europe.
2025 wasn’t just a season—it was a statement. A celebration of two decades of hard work, learning, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
Here’s to 20 years of steel, sweat, and success—and to the many more that lie ahead.
